How the Avery L4770 sheet is laid out
The 4 columns and 10 rows of Avery L4770 labels are centred: 9.8 mm of backing at each side, 21.4 mm at the top and bottom.
Columns have a 2.5 mm gutter but the 10 rows touch, so colour that bleeds off an L4770 label's top or bottom edge shows on the next one if the feed is 1 mm off.
The 1.5 mm rounded corners are drawn in the preview, with the 1.6 mm safe area where text belongs.
Labels cover 74 % of the page; the rest is backing.

Where the Avery L4770 numbers come from
The L4770 geometry has not yet been checked against Avery's published template: print the plain-paper test first. Data note: Cross-checked against LibreOffice's label database (Avery A4): 45.72 x 25.4 mm labels, 4 x 10, first label 9.75 mm from the left and 21.43 mm from the top, pitch 48.26 x 25.4 mm; gLabels had 45.7 x 25.4 mm from 10 / 22 mm at 48.5 x 25.4 mm. avery.co.uk blocks automated requests, so Avery's own A4 page could not be fetched. Other geometry: gLabels template database (avery-iso-templates.xml). LabelGrid is not affiliated with Avery (Avery® is a trademark of its owner); "L4770" only names the sheet this template fits.
