What 2 labels per US Letter sheet means
A count of 2 per sheet does not fix the label size: the 80 sheets here use 35 sizes and 3 grids (1 × 2, 2 × 1 and 2 blocks). Labels cover between 2 % and 100 % of the US Letter page; the rest is margin and gaps.
Always choose the template by the code printed on the box: two 2-up sheets with different sizes or margins need different templates, even though the count matches. The most common size at this count is 4 5/8″ round (34 sheets).

How many 2-up sheets you need
At 2 per sheet the arithmetic is simple: every two labels take one sheet, so a run of 250 needs 125 sheets.
| Labels | Sheets (fresh sheet) | Blank labels left |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | 25 | 0 |
| 100 | 50 | 0 |
| 250 | 125 | 0 |
| 500 | 250 | 0 |
| 1000 | 500 | 0 |
Which 2-up sheet to pick
Avery 5691-Disc is the default here because Avery codes are the usual reference for compatible sheets, and it shares its exact layout with 24 other sheets on this list, so its template prints on those too. Its labels are 4 5/8″ (117.5 mm) by 4 5/8″ (117.5 mm).
If you need bigger labels at the same count, the largest are 5 1/2″ × 8 1/2″ on Uline S-5044; the smallest are 1/4″ × 4″ on OnlineLabels OL5050 (case second). LabelGrid recommends 2-up sheets for shipping labels, CD and DVD labels and media labels.

Frequently asked questions
What size are the labels on 2-up sheets?
It depends on the sheet: 4 5/8″ round (Avery 5931-Disc), 5 1/2″ × 8 1/2″ (Avery 5126), 5″ × 8.13″ (Avery 6573), 4″ × 6″ (Avery 5389) and 4 1/2″ × 6 1/2″ (SheetLabels SL517) and others.
How many sheets do I need for 500 labels at 2 per sheet?
250 sheets (0 labels left blank). For 100 labels: 50 sheets.
Is every 2-up template the same?
No. There are 48 different layouts at this count; label sizes and margins differ, so pick the template by the code on your box.
How do I print 2 labels per sheet correctly?
Download the PDF from the designer and print on US Letter paper at 100 % (“Actual size”), without “fit to page”. Print one test page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet first.
